Purcell Mountain Lodge is one of the most beautiful places I’ve stayed . The staff are wonderful, the food is top notch, and you really can’t beat the view. 10/10 would recommend and will be back again.

The lodge was comfortable and clean and the food was beautifully prepared by chef Andrey. After a day of summit hiking we arrived back at the lodge to refresh ourselves with appetizers. We could relax and enjoy a pre-dinner drink on the large deck- wonderful views right from the lodge. The lodge is very well organized and run in a low key but very professional way.

5 friends and myself stayed at the self-serve Chalet portion of the Purcell Mountain Lodge July 2020. Pictures don't do this location justice for how grand the surrounding mountains are as well as the beautiful expansive meadows. It was the most stunning location I have ever been. The Chalet was incredible. It housed 6 of us easily and provided the perfect location where we could cook, relax, and sleep. We all felt very comfortable with how careful they were pertaining to Covid guidelines. Jackie was amazing at answering all our questions and getting us all set up for our weekend getaway. Thanks again to everyone involved!

dining in the backcountry

Cultivated meals catered to the exhilarated and intrepid adventurer.

Purcell Mountain Lodge's contemporary style cuisine is influenced by the surrounding wilderness. In the summer, the Lodge’s pristine natural environment produces a bounty of wild edible plants and berries. We like to use fresh ingredients and keep it natural. Local produce will appear regularly on the menu and be featured in a dining experience. Chef Josef is from Austria and grew up in the Alps. Thoughtfully he created our menus from the finest regional and seasonal ingredients.

We pride ourselves on being able to effectively cater to guests with food allergies and sensitivities. Our menu is adaptable to gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian options.

The chef makes wonderfully prepared food and presents meals. Do not go here if you want to lose weight, the food is great.

Chef Josef was superb which was challenging for our group as there were a lot of dietary challenges but he met them all. When you returned from a hike there was a special refreshment ready that was delicious and creative. I feel so lucky that I had the opportunity to go.

The best and perhaps most surprising was the unbelievable gourmet meals, snacks, appetizers, birthday cakes, welcome back drinks. Josef and his assistant, Andre, were easily able to accommodate all the various food needs of our group (vegetarians, allergies etc... ) and still produce beautiful dishes worthy of the most expensive restaurant. Thank you Purcell Mountain Lodge for a very special experience.
