A Luxury Mountain Lodge
Purcell Mountain Lodge is a home away from home. Surrounded by the unspoiled wilderness of the Rocky Mountains and Glacier National Park, it is an oasis of comfort in the midst of some of North America’s most rugged and spectacular mountain scenery.
You’ll arrive by helicopter – itself an unforgettable experience – and touch down in the middle of Canada’s largest alpine meadow. As your guides unload the luggage, your hosts will welcome you into the warmth of the Lodge, where the smell of freshly baked goodies greets you at the door.
On your tour you’ll be seduced by the Lodge’s friendly atmosphere – the smiling staff, the cozy living room, the intimate library and the panoramic views. Local artifacts and old photographs line the walls of this hand crafted timber-frame building, and for the guests who return year after year, it feels like home.
Upstairs, 10 Private Bedrooms overlook our 360-degree views of the Canadian Rockies, with nothing but wilderness as far as the eye can see. Despite our remote location, however, the Lodge is anything but rustic: a nearby mountain stream provides ample electricity and crystal-clear drinking water, central heating sends warm air throughout the building, and hot showers are always available to soothe away your aches and pains. There’s even a traditional wood-fired cedar sauna for those who wish to relax after a day in the mountains.
Just steps away from the Lodge, our luxurious Private Chalet offers couples the chance to participate in all that the Lodge has to offer, while at the same time enjoying the privacy of their own retreat.
In the evenings, our Dining Room hums with lively conversation as guests share the highlights of the day. When meals aren’t being served, the dining room becomes home to card games, board games and late-night conversation.
