All of our electrical needs are supplied by a mini hydro-electric system that harnesses the clean energy of a nearby mountain stream. The system produces approximately 8 kilowatts of power, which is enough to run all of our low-watt lights, baseboard heaters and kitchen appliances. The stream’s ecosystem is not affected by the small generator.
